Step by step guide to show how
to record your Vonage calls with Cain.
- Make sure your Vonage settings
for voice quality are set at the highest setting available.
You can check this by logging into your vonage account at www.vonage.com and
clicking on Features and then Bandwidth Saver(Fig1).

- Download Cain available at www.oxid.it
- Install Cain by running the ca_setup.exe
and selecting the defaults. Please be sure to install WinPcap
when it asks you to.
- Once everything is installed
we will jump into setting up Cain to record the calls.
- If there is an icon on the desktop
for Cain please double click on it, otherwise go to Start>Programs>Cain>Cain.
Once Cain is open you should have a screen as see in below.
- You should be able to follow
the screen shots from here.
 Click OK to scan the network for all
MAC Addresses.
You now have
a list of hosts on the network like below. Click on ARP.
